Training Priority List (TPL) Projects

Training Priority List (TPL) Projects support innovative approaches to skilling and workforce development to drive productivity and participation improvements through skills for sectors, regions and communities.

Designed to augment existing approaches, TPL Projects enable training providers to work with regional, sector or industry level partners to address unmet or regionally-specific and emerging skilling needs.

TPL Projects are tailored, locally developed responses involving workforce planning, accredited training and project management to provide relevant services or additional supports for participants.

With its strong emphasis on responding to unmet skills needs, delivering speed to market and connecting to opportunities to develop state-specific training products, TPL Projects focus on practical solutions to meeting the skill needs of industries and learners across South Australia.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their proposal prior to applying by calling 1800 673 097 or emailling

SSA Workforce Projects

To address the current workforce needs as a result of impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic and recent bushfires, the Department for Innovation and Skills is expanding Skilling South Australia projects.

SSA Workforce Projects will run parallel to existing Skilling South Australia Projects to support businesses, employers and industry sectors to retain, transition and mobilise workers, and to upskill and re-skill displaced workers for areas in demand.

Projects must demonstrate:

  • workforce retention, including apprentices and trainees, and upskilling of an existing workforce
  • support to transition or mobilise workers across industry sectors in need, such as aged care, disability support, health care, and/or manufacturing and transport and logistics, and/or
  • new opportunities to upskill or retrain displaced workers into areas in demand.

All projects are required to deliver accredited training.

SSA Workforce Projects are now closed. For more information, call 1800 673 097 or email
