The Quality and Compliance Framework guides how Skills SA assures appropriate and effective outcomes from the South Australian Government’s investment in the vocational education and training market.
The Framework outlines clear expectations of providers, and in turn what providers should expect from Skills SA. It sets out our quality and compliance objectives, and the principles through which we aspire to achieve them.
The framework is based on four pillars - engagement, assessment, monitoring and response.
All organisations that receive funding through Skills SA should be guided by the Quality and Compliance Framework. This includes registered training organisations, ACE providers and project proponents.
The Framework does not replace or supersede existing legal or regulatory requirements. Providers remain responsible to the appropriate regulator (for example, ASQA) for ensuring they fulfil these obligations. Instead, the Framework provides guidance on expectations for becoming, and remaining, a government-funded VET provider in South Australia.
