Skilling South Australia Projects

Through the Skilling South Australia initiative, we’re supporting an additional 20,800 apprenticeships and traineeships over four years.

Funding is available for projects that drive apprenticeship and traineeship growth in the state.

Applications are invited from organisations and businesses, including Group Training Organisations, training providers, industry associations and businesses in need of apprentices or trainees.

We’re particularly interested in attracting high quality projects that:

  • boost regional apprenticeships or traineeships
  • support strategic industry sectors, such as defence, information technology, cyber security and disability services, or
  • assist specific cohorts, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers, women in non-traditional trades or long-term unemployed job seekers into apprenticeships or traineeships.

Read the project guidelines and supporting documents before submitting your application.

To apply, see Apply for funding.

If you have any questions, see the SSA Projects enquiry form.

Community Education

The Community Education program funds community-based organisations to deliver projects that help people develop foundation skills in language, literacy, numeracy, computing and personal skills.

For more information, see Community Education funding.

Equipped for Work

If you’re an employer or a Group Training Organisation (GTO) you can be reimbursed for the costs of goods and services essential to starting an apprenticeship or traineeship.

For more information and to apply, see Equipped for Work.

Travel and Accommodation Allowance

If your regional apprentice or trainee travels more than 150km to attend training, they may be able to claim on their travel and accommodation costs.
