Better projects, better outcomes, better pathways
Adult Community Education (ACE) supports community-based pathways for people to build and improve their foundation skills and to take their next steps for adult education that transitions students to vocational education and training (VET) courses, apprenticeships, traineeships, higher education, and employment.
The ACE Information Day brought together community education providers, highlighted examples of the great work being delivered in the ACE sector, and discussed how we can continue to work together to grow our outcomes and support strong pathways for learners.
Attendees were joined by the Honourable Blair Boyer MP, Minister for Education, Training and Skills who discussed the importance of foundation skills and the State Government’s commitment to ACE through increased funding and priorities for lifting foundation skills in South Australia as a critical part of workforce and economic participation.
Guest presenters also included Jenny Macaffer, the Chief Executive Officer of Adult Learning Australia, Kerrie Akkermans, Chief Executive Officer of Community Centres SA, and several ACE providers discussing their experiences delivering ACE.
The presentations and clips of the day are provided for your information and reference below. If you would like to provide feedback or raise questions, you are welcome to contact us on 1800 673 097.
