Upfront Assessment of Need Professional Development Sessions 2020

Four sessions, presented by ACER are proposed to be run consecutively over three days in March 2020.

Apply now: Building Capability Projects

Applications are now open for eligible vocational education and training providers to apply for Building Capability Projects.

You can apply for up to $50,000 for innovation, development and/or research projects that assist in building capability and capacity, share learnings with the VET sector and collaborate closely with industry partners.

Training Provider Forums

Four Training Provider Forums were held in 2019, for registered training organisations, the Department and other VET stakeholders to connect, foster networks, exchange knowledge and inspire excellence in training and educational leadership.

Teaching and Learning Pods

Teaching and Learning Pods were designed for trainers and assessors looking to refresh and enhance their knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment practice.

Pods were offered in mapping, collecting meaningful evidence, identifying learning issues and navigating Pods are delivered by facilitators from MRWED, one of Australia’s leading providers of trainer training.

RTO Business Workshops

Business workshops were designed for management, executive and leadership staff in training organisations seeking to build their organisation’s capability.

High quality presenters from the VET Development Centre delivered workshops in positive organisational culture, social media and marketing for RTOs and developing accredited courses.

Communities of Practice

VET educators and leaders were invited to participate in Communities of Practice on foundation skills, assessment and compliance.

Each Community has been facilitated by specialists from the VET Development Centre.

Masterclasses were available for VET educators and leaders who want to deepen their practice in workplace assessment, e-learning, Australian Core Skills Framework and action-based learning.

Masterclasses were delivered by expert facilitators from Action Learning Institute, ACER and VET Development Centre.
